Director's Welcome Address

The Technical and Entrepreneurship Centre (TEC) was established by the University Senate on June 30, 2008 as a Directorate in the Vice-Chancellor’s Office. The mandates of the Directorate, organized into three units, include: Work Study, Entrepreneurship training, and Community Based Experience Service (COBES). However, in 2018/2019 session, Work Study was moved to Students Affairs Unit. The Centre, even though is currently being overseen by DVC MS, is overseen by a Board consisting of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research, Technology and Innovation (RTI) as the Chairperson, two senate representatives, Director of the Centre, the three (now two) Units’ coordinators and a representative from each Faculty and Bursary. The Secretary of the Board is chosen by the Registrar of the University.
